Overview

Lhotse (8,516m), the fourth highest mountain peak in the world, is connected to Mount Everest at the South Col. Lying at the border between Tibet (China) and Nepal, its range also includes Lhotse Middle (8,414m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m). Best known for its proximity to Mout Everest, it is a dramatic peak having the steepest south face that rises 3.2 km in only 2.25km of horizontal distance. The western flank of Lhotse, also known as the Lhotse Face, is a 1,125m high wall of glacial blue ice. This face rises at 45 and 52 degree pitches with the occasional 80 degree bulges always.

Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (Expedition Preparation) Day 3: Kathmandu- Lukla 2,840m/9,317ft –Phakding (2,640m/8,661ft) 32m flight and 3-4hrs Trek. Day 4: Phading – Namche Bazaar (3440M/111,286ft) 5-6hrs Trek. Day 5: Acclimatize day in Namche Bazaar Day 6: Namche Bazaar – Tengboche (3,860m/12,664ft) 5-6hrs Trek Day 7: Tengboche – Dingboche (4,360m/14,304ft) 5-6hrs Trek Day 8: Acclimatization day in Dingboche. Day 9: Dingboche – Lobuche (4910m.16,108ft) 5-6hrs Trek. In option you may climb Island peak (6,189m/20,305ft.) 4 more days require to continue EBC. Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak shep (5,140m/16,863ft) to EBC (5,364m/17,598ft and back to Gorak Shep 7-8hrs Trek. Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kalapattar (5,550m/18,208ft) then back to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,598ft) 6-7hrs Trek. Day 12: Full Acclimatize day and rest day at Everest Base Camp ((5,364m/17,598ft) Day 13: Day 13-35: Climbing Period Day 14: Retrace Lhotse/Everest Base camp to Pangboche. Day 15: Retrace Pangboche to Namche Day 16: Retrace Namche to Lukla Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu Day 18: Full Day Rest and Return preparation or shopping for your family and friends.
