Overview

Rara lake (biggest lake in Nepal) is heaven on earth situated at an altitude of 2990 m above sea level. This beautiful lake in Mugu district can be reached by flight, by 4×4 jeep drive or by several days of trekking. This eight days Rara Lake (Heaven on Earth) tour is based on land transport  by both local bus and jeep drive.

At the final stage you need to trek for approx 2 hrs to reach Rara Lake. Explore around Rara Lake, boating, hike to Murma top for whole Rara Lake view and then back to Kathmandu via Khalanga Bazaar (Jumla) and Surkhet.

 

Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Surkhet Overnight at Surkhet Via Nepalgunj Day 2: After B/F Drive to Kalikot, Manma the District HQ. Via Dailekh. Day 3: Early Morning 06:am Drive to Rara Lake Via Sinjha Valley Overnight at (Village Heritage Resort Pvt. Ltd. Rara Lake) our Jeep stop at MIlichour. then 1.30 hrs hiking to reach Rara Lake. Day 4: Explore Rara Lake ( Hiking Murma Top, Horse Riding, Cycling, Boating , Bird Watching , Jungle walking and many more) Overnight at (Village Heritage Resort Pvt. Ltd. Rara Lake) Day 5: After B/F back to Mini Chour then Drive to Jumla Khalanga Bazar the district HQ Overnight at Khalanga Bazar. Day 6: Early Morning 05:30am Drive Back to Surkhet Overnight at Surkhet Day 7: Morning Sightseeing at Surkhet Valley, Kakrevihar, Deutibajai, Surkhet Bazar. Drive Back to Kathmandu Day 8: Morning Arrive in Kathmandu ( Final Departure)
