Overview

Lamjung Himal Trek offers an impressive view of north central Himalaya of Nepal. The journey traverses 4000m above the Marshyangdi George and quite near Lamjung Himal. Between Kathmandu and Pokhara there are three major groups of peaks; Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Himal Chuli.

Lamjung Himal Base Camp Trek is mostly suggested which is at a convenient distance from capital city Kathmandu. This is trek is famous for village life, Tamang and Gurung culture, lush green forests, terraced farm lands and soaring Lamjung Himal with giant Annapurna Mountains. Manaslu west face and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) adds more attraction on this trek.

This beautiful trek commences from Besi Sahar through the beautiful villages of Ghale Gaun, Bhujung, Ghanpokhara, and towards Sikless Village is possible but knowledge of local guide is important. The area offers home stay facilities in the villages. Local dance and singing is programmed per the visitor’s interest while trekking in Lamjung Himal Base Camp which offers insight experience of rural life in mid western life of Nepal. ACAP permit and TIMS card as the trekking permit are required for this trek.

Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in TIA, Kathmandu

As you land on Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be received by our office representative with a proper greeting. Then, afterward, you will be transferred to hotel where you will learn the detailed itinerary. We can change the set itinerary as per your feasibility. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu 1310m

Setting a practical itinerary today you will see the sights in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. These are the historical places which are also listed in World Heritage Sites. So, spending time in such places you will feel glory. Accomplishing the sightseeing you will return to the hotel. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Modi Khola 900m 6-7 hrs

Completing the sightseeing in Kathmandu today you will start the trek taking a drive to Modi Khola 900m. At first, you will drive to Pokhara then Nayapul. The miles amid Nayapul and Pokhara cover 7 km. After some time you will arrive in Modi Khola which takes 6 to 7 hours. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 4: Trek to Tanting Kharka 2100m 6-7 hrs

On the following day, you will begin the trek to Tanting Kharka which is positioned at an elevation of 2100m. It will consume 6 to 7 hours of duration and you will take an upward movement. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 5: Trek to Bhaise Kharka 3400m 6-7 hrs

On the following day experiencing the stay in tenting camp you will head to Bhaise Kharka which is to be found in an elevation of 3,400 meters. The total time frame needs to complete the trek is 6 and half hours. Then, you will set the camp and enjoy the night. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 6: Trek to Lamjung Base Camp 3950m 5-6 hrs

On the following day, you will set out to trek Lamjung Base Camp which is positioned at an elevation of 3,950 meters. It is appropriate for those trekkers who wish to have something innovative and unharmed with some trickiness. Here, you can understand the tranquility of nature and backwoods of numerous vistas, mountains, flora, and fauna. Within 5 to 6 hours you can complete the trek. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 7: Rest day and excursion Peak back to Kopchepani 2800m 7-8 hrs

On the following day, you will set out for hiking to excursion Peak where you can outlook Manaslu, Mount Lamjung, and range of Annapurna. After viewing those peaks you will return to Kopchepani which is situated at an elevation of 2,800 meters. Then, you will set the tent to spend the night after trekking for 7 to 8 hours of time. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 8: Trek back to Baglungpani 1700m 5-6 hrs

Descending down from Kopchepani you will trek to Baglungpani which is to be found at 1700 meters. It consumes 6 to 7 hours of duration. In Baglungpani you can visit several places including Gaunsahar, Jagat, Harbhi, Gilung and much more. So, you will love this place. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 9: Trek back to Tarkughat 820m 6-7 hrs

On the following day, you will head to Tarkughat after taking a gradual downward movement. You need to carry on the trek continuously as it takes 6 and a half hours to accomplish today’s trek. it is located in the North-West of Kathmandu and can visit Chyangli, Deurali, Gapalphedi and much more. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 10: Trek back to Daraudi Khola 800m 5-6 hrs

On this day you will trek to Daraudi Khola which is situated at an elevation of 800 meters. It takes 6 to 7 hours to complete the trek. Let us tell you that Daraudi Khola is used to shoot most of the Nepali videos so you can to snap some photographs and make the day more worthy. Stay overnight in tented camp.

Day 11: Trek back to Gorkha 1100m 5-6 hrs

Taking ascend you will trek to Gorkha which is situated at 1,100 meters. Gorkha being the historical destination you will get to visit in numerous spots. You can view the ancient Gorkha Durbar, museum and the local people. The setting of Gorkha is very interesting and the climate is also pleasing. Stay overnight in a guest house.

Day 12: Drive to Kathmandu 6-7 hrs

If you wish to visit the religious temple ‘Manakamana’ you can use cable car and pray for your family and loved ones. Then, without wasting any time you will soon return to Kathmandu as it takes 6 hours to turn up in Kathmandu.  Arriving at the hotel you will take some rest and participate in farewell dinner as a part of the cultural program. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 13: Free day

Completing the trek you have one more day where you do not need to follow the tight schedule and you can use it as per your wish. According to us, you can go shopping taking a break from trekking as you can find numerous Malls where you can buy the things as per need. In case if you still wish to travel then you can visit the places of Kathmandu. In the evening you will return soon to attain cultural program and farewell dinner. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 14: Departure

Our representative will drop you to the airport for your further destination.
