Nepal is beautiful by nature. The high altitude variation of this country has brought the changes in climatic condition, the vegetation, people and their culture and tradition, language, clothing, fooding habits etc. This all makes Nepal a year round destination for the travelers.
Although Nepal can be visited whole year round, some places are best recommended for certain time of the year. Hence the season to visit Nepal can be divided into four parts as below:
Spring (Mar till May): This is the second best season to visit Nepal specially for trekking. The days are hot when sunny with clear blue skies, and excellent mountain views.
Summer (Jun till Aug): The days are hot when sunny, however cool morning and evening. Frequent monsoon rain during late July till August. Cloudy weather most of the time however best season for nature lovers and naturalist due to greenery everywhere. It is also the best time to visit rain shadow regions like Mustang.
Autumn (Sep till Nov): Pleasant weather condition with clear mountain views. This is the best time to go for trekking. This is also the time when most of the festivals are celebrated.
Winter (Dec till Feb): Weather is cold during night and cool during morning and evening. Days are warm when sunny with snowfall in the higher elevation.
