Overview

This 10 days of Everest Base Camp trekking is possibly the shortest route to reach Everest base camp with few days of trek and then back to Kathmandu by a helicopter ride.

Once you experience some cultural shock in Kathmandu and trekking preparation along with your trekking permits done, we fly to Lukla gateway to Everest region. From there we trek through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche till Dingboche. Spend extra day here to explore around and acclimatize yourself.

Continue trek through Lobuche, Gorakshep and finally to Everest Base Camp. Same day trek Gorakshep-Everest Base Camp-Gorakshep. Next day from Gorakshep we take an scenic helicopter ride and fly back to Kathmandu via Lukla.

Rest of the day at leisure to relax and recall our trek memories. In the evening we gather to celebrate the successful completion of trekking and to thank our team. Final day spend for last minute shopping and relax. Then transfer to international airport for flight back home as per the departure timing with sweet memories to cherish.

 

Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

At your arrival in Nepal at the only international terminal, Tribhuvan International Airport, our company’s representatives will receive you and transfer you to your hotel. Upon your arrival at the hotel, you will be heartily welcomed by the hotel staffs and transfer to your respective rooms. You will be left for fleshing up and you will be offered snacks for your hungry stomach. In the afternoon, there will be the alignment section by which you will get all the necessary information about the trek.

Overnight Hotel: Melbury Hotel or Similar.

The main attraction of the day- Kathmandu Airport, Kathmandu Streets (if you explore some)

Day 2: Kathmandu – Lukla (40 min flight) – Phakding

Early in the morning, we will move towards the domestic terminal of Kathmandu to take the small aircraft flight to Lukla which is at the altitude of 2,800m (9,186ft). Lukla is the gateway from where your official trek starts. The flight will complete in 30 minutes and offers you the sight of splendid mountains, forests, lakes and many more. After reaching Lukla, we will start our trekking to the first destination, Phakding. The trek is of about 4 hours. In Phakding, we will check in to Yeti Mountain Home which is located on the bank of Dudh Koshi River. It is surrounded by a beautiful mountain view and other natural scenarios. In this hotel, they will provide world-class facilities with high-class dinner, full-stocked bar, fire chimneys, en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water, comfortable beds, spa, and massage treatment.

Day 3: Phakding - Namche Bazaar

We will have delicious breakfast at Yeti Mountain Home and start our journey towards Namche Bazaar via beautiful rhododendron, pine, oak forest shadowed by the Dudh Koshi River. We will pass through numerous suspension bridges watching the wonderful view of glistening Mount Thamserku (6,618m). We will move through the settlements of Benker, Chumoa, and Monjo. After passing through these settlements, we will be on the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. The trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding will take about 5 to 6 hours to complete. In Namche bazaar also, we will prefer Yeti Mountain Home for our accommodation, and check-in there. This hotel is located in the Khumbu region which is the gateway to Mount Everest. The staffs of the hotel will welcome us with admirable gratitude. The high-quality accommodations along with fresh and organic dinner will make your day and night memorial.

Day 4: Namche - Tengboche

Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will start our trek towards the village of Tengboche. The trek offers you the splendid view of mountain ranges like Mount Everest, Luptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku, wildlife like musk deer, pheasant, and Himalayan Thar. The trek moves towards Sansa via Kayangjuma and the forest of pine and oak. Again, moving further through pine forest, we will reach the settlements of Tengboche. Tengboche is reached with the trial through the alpine forest. The place provides the beautiful views of mountains like Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Everest, the biggest Buddhist Monastery of Khumbu region, and eye-catching alpine woods. We will spend a night in Hotel Himalayan with the best of accommodations of comfortable beds, Wi-fi, best and fresh meals, and bathroom with hot water services.

Day 5: Tengboche - Dingboche

After having breakfast in the hotel in Tengboche, we will move towards Dingboche. The trek in this day will take about 6 to 7 hours to complete. We will move through the small villages, Chortens, and walls (Mani Walls). The trial will also give the view of Ama Dablam, peeking through the greenery of the forest. The walk will lead first to the Imja valley which will give the view of Lobuche river. The steep climb from the river area will take us to Dingboche. In Dingboche we will spend our night in Hotel Good Luck The lodge will offer you the best and comfortable accommodation with a restful bed, dining area with fresh and hygienic food, and capacious room.

Day 6: Dingboche (Rest Day)

This day, we will spend our time in Dingboche as acclimatization day. We will have the great and numerous views of peaks like Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Lhotse, Mount Makalu, Mount Cho Yu, Cholatse, Taboche, Lobuche East and Lobuche West and many more. The view from the East side id the most attractive one which provides the sight of Khumbu Khola Valley. Today, we will spend the night at Hotel Good Luck which offers fresh and organic foods for dinner, cozy beds, and other facilities.

Day 7: Dingboche - Duglha - Lobuche

This day, we will move towards Duglha through the Khumbu Khola Valley. We will reach to a yak herder’s place known as Dusa from where the valley begins to narrow. The trip will pass to Phulung Karpo with the majestic view of Mount Pumori. Furthermore, we can have a beautiful view of mountains like Nuptse, Cholatse, Thamserku, and many more. After the arrival in Duglha, we will trek steep upward to the terminal moraine situated in the Khumbu Glacier. The trail descends to the Khumbu Glacier moraine giving the view of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal which towers right above us. We will spend a night in Mother Earth House. It is one of the best lodges in Lobuche which arranges very comfortable accommodation and dinner along with many other relevant services.

Mountains viewed- Mt. Pumori, Nuptse, Cholatse, Thamesrku, etc.

Day 8: Lobuche - Gorakshep - Base Camp - Gorak shep

This day, we will move to Gorakshep from Lobuche via the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Moving closer to Gorakshep will provide even closer and clearer view of Mount Everest along with Mount Pumori, Mahalangur, Khumbutse, Nuptse, and Lingtern. Ascending further upward will take us to Thangma Riju which is surrounded by snowy peaks. Moving more upward to the top through Changri glacier, we will have the first and evergreen view of Kala Patthar (Grey-green hillock beneath Mount Pumori).
To reach the base camp, we will pass through the moraine of Khumbu Glacier and stone memorials built for those climbers who lost their lives during their attempt to reach the summit. After roaming around the base camp, we will return back to Gorakshep. Here, we will stay in the well maintained and accommodated Everest Inn Pvt. Ltd (Hotel) where we will be able to enjoy the top-level facilities of rooms, bathrooms, dinner and many more.

Day 9: Helicopter Ride from Gorekshep (Kalapather) to Kathmandu

Early in the morning after breakfast, we will take a helicopter flight and explore around Everest region getting the last glimpse of the beautiful scenario of Himalayan ranges, forests, lakes and many more and fly to Kathmandu domestic terminal, you will be transferred to Melbury Hotel. If you want, you can explore the city as well. You will also be provided the farewell dinner along with cultural dances, and live music.

Day 10: Final Departure

According to your flight schedule, the representative of our company will transfer you to the airport (Tribhuvan International Airport) from where you will take leave from Nepal to your native country. This goodbye will be the last for this time with the warm welcome for next trip to Nepal.
